What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an alter state of consciousness in which a person becomes highly responsive to suggestions or directions. It is a natural state, that we often experience without being aware of it, for example when we daydream. A person in the state of hypnosis can experience a deep sense of physical and mental relaxation and a change in brainwave activity, which can allow for communication between the conscious and subconscious. Hypnosis positively impacts our nervous system, our digestive system and our immune system.
The American Medical Assoc., American Psychological Assoc., American Dental Assoc., National Institute of Health, Harvard University Medical School, and Stanford University Medical School have studied and recognized hypnosis and its positive health benefits when used in a complimentary manner to traditional medicine. For example, it is used in hospitals and dental offices across the nation for pain management, stress reduction, and to reduce other complications during surgeries and child birthing
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to promote positive change. By guiding you into a relaxed, focused state, a hypnotherapist helps access your subconscious mind to address a wide range of issues. From reducing stress and anxiety to breaking unwanted habits and boosting confidence, hypnotherapy empowers you to make deep, lasting changes. The process is collaborative, with a certified hypnotherapist working with your goals and providing suggestions to help reframe thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, effective approach that enables you to harness the full potential of your mind.
During clinical medical hypnotherapy hypnotherapy sessions you can uncover suppressed memories of events that are the root cause of current emotions and problems. Because our brains do not differentiate between reality and fiction (what we imagine is just as real to our brains as 3D reality) during hypnosis we can create new perceptions, which will create new neurological connections, leading to new core beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world we live in.
